In this unit we will study:
- The process by which an individual becomes a citizen of the United States
- The Bill of Rights, including the First Amendment Freedoms
- The duties and responsibilities of citizenship
- The character traits of good citizens
- How to actively and effectively participate in the community

4) Civics and Economics Current Events – use a newspaper or the ClassZone Website to complete the Current Event Worksheet. Current Events must relate to Civics or Economics – (5 pts each – up to 5 per 9 wks)
